The provision of “hands-on” care related to functional Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) in a person’s home varies with every client. We have wonderfully kind carers available to support all your needs.

ADLs are routine activities that people perform every day  including

• Eating/Drinking
• Dressing
• Bathing and Showering
• Toileting (Oral Care, Personal Hygiene, Grooming)
• Mobility Assistance
• We provide two categories of  care around ADLs.  Companionship and assistance with ADLs is provided in the form of prompting and encouragement. A companion carer is ideal  is for clients who can dress, bathe and generally attend to their own personal care themselves.  These activities are out of scope with the care regulators.  

Prompting and reminding people, being in the vicinity and handing people what they need while they care for themselves, is proven to prolong independence. Our Companion carers are experienced in caring and we  team you with someone with relevant experience as well as a well matched personality.

The same person or same few people visit to enable the best possible outcomes, limit risks of infection and increase understanding. We help people stick to treatment plans and we inspire and ensure our clients enjoy the visits.

Personal care delivered in the form of hands-on help is provided by trained and qualified carers and these activities are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Our services were rated as Good in all five categories of the inspection. (May 2023) Personal care is provided with love and kindness and every carer we employ is very special.
