WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Joining our growing teams of carers visiting clients in and around Canterbury, Thanet, Herne Bay, Whitstable, Dover, Deal and Sandwich you’ll be assigned clients according to your experience, your preferences and availability. You’ll be:
- Delivering support services and companionship to clients in their homes and in the community
- We’ll organise and agree your schedule with you, matching you to our clients. You can walk or drive to your appointments
- Every client is different and the support you provide will be varied. You are never rushed and you have choice in the support tasks you provide
- You are introduced to the clients before service starts so you get to know where you are going, who you are meeting and exactly what is required
- Supported by the Service Co-ordinator and reporting to Care Leads/ Registered Manager and owners, you’ll be fully supported and insured
- You register your arrival to the client on our app, you support and spend quality time with our client. You make your notes and register your departure on our app
- Minimum one-hour visits with plenty of quality time with our clients
- Community visits and outings are welcomed. Your creativity and suggestions are welcomed
- Continuity of care is an important value. You visit the same clients and you are responsible to discuss changes, concerns and to share updates
- Your suggestions and recommendations for our clients are always welcomed
- The office updates schedules and responds to client enquiries
- You always have access to support, guidance and reassurance for yourself and our clients. We are a team.
- You’re travel is paid, and your pay and pay slip delivered on 15th of every month
- You do not handle cash for clients and you are re-imbursed receipted client expenses immediately
Essential Criteria
- Loving, caring, giving and compassionate
- Care experience (professional care or the experience of providing care for a loved one or within any work setting is ideal)
- Life Experienced
- Flexible and professional
- Must live and be able to work in the UK
- Passion for continual learning
- Willing to learn new skills, best practise and self development
- Have local knowledge
WHAT YOU COULD ALSO HAVE:
Skills/Qualifications:
- Specialist skills a bonus
- Specialist knowledge a bonus
- Desire to upskill and acquire care qualifications and new skills
- Driving license and access to car is an advantage
PAY: This role pays £12.89 – £21.01/hour and flexible hour and part time contracts are available
